B.A. Journalism is a bachelor-level 3-year course. Also, it is divided into 2 media categories - the Electronic and the Print media. Journalism consists of journals, magazines, newspapers, digests, and news agencies and it also involves training and teaching regarding editing, photographing, writing, reporting, etc.

Journalism is gathering information, collating it, and creating something informative out of it. Apart from these basic roles, a journalist is also required to comment on events being reported but diplomatically, to not influence any reader too strongly.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Candidates who have completed their 10+2 schooling or equivalent, in any stream, from a recognized board with an aggregate of 50% marks are eligible to enroll for this program.

2. Institutions requiring an entrance exam for admission may take into account both the entrance exam score as well as previous academic records.

3. The cut-off mark for the examination is decided by each institution.

4. A reduction has been in place for the SC/ST students up to 45% which can be availed if the students have the required documentation to prove their claim.

6. Documents like mark sheets, photographs, signatures and transfer certificates must be scanned and uploaded online to the portal.

7. All documents must be in a specific format and size only to be accepted.

8. Various Entrance Exams such as CUCET, PAT, State University, Central University etc are conducted to enrol students for courses.
